How to Get Involved
How to Get Involved
First off, just fill in our form. Ask any questions you’ve got. We’ll put you in touch with your nearest group. If there is not one near you yet, don’t worry, we are opening new ones up all the time. And until there is one near you, you can join our Online events.
You don't need to join or pay immediately. We would like to meet you and we are sure you'd like to meet us. Just come along to one of our group nights.
We know some people might find it hard to walk into a room full of strangers. So if you give us your email or phone number, we will arrange to meet you and introduce you.
Who is welcome?
Everyone!
People who have moved, people whose friends have drifted off, people who find it harder to make friends and get out for a social life for whatever reason.
Lots of our events are in pubs, so you need to be 18 to join. Some of our events are suitable for children though. Check event by event with your local group.
What Does it Cost?
To begin with, nothing! Come along to one of our local groups. Meet us, find out more. Come to one or two of our events. Then if you like us you can join.
We are not a commercial group. We have no expensive premises. Everything is organised by our members for our members. We are all volunteers. So amazingly it only costs £20 per year to join.
But it’s even better than that – your first year is only £10!
And it gets better still! We don’t want you to pay up front. We want you to come along and meet us and try a few events. And only then when you decide to join will we ask you to join and pay.
Can I join online? No need! Juts come along to a group and meet us. (Or at the moment, join one of our online communities.)
Of course you need to pay for weekends away, holidays, theatre trips, and things like that. But we don’t make a profit. So everything is really good value and far, far better value than commercial groups or many Meetup groups. You will be amazed how much fun you can have for how little money!
Remember, your first year’s membership is just £10.
